Matthew Schnarr is a dedicated coach whose philosophy is rooted in passion, unity, competitiveness, accountability, and empowerment. His coaching achievements are notable, including the prestigious 2025 Art King Award from Ontario Colleges and the 2023 Mike Bugarski Ontario Volleyball Male Coach of the Year. Additionally, he was inducted into the Mohawk College Hall of Fame in 2023 for his contributions to badminton and men’s volleyball. Schnarr's commitment to professional development is evident through his certifications, which include being a Performance Coach in Training and an Advanced Development Coach, alongside training in Mental Health First Aid and diversity and inclusion programs.

Schnarr has extensive coaching experience with Team Canada, serving as the Assistant Coach for the Youth Team Canada U17 Program during the NORCECA World Cup Qualification in 2025, and as Head Coach for the Youth Team Canada Red and White Program at the Canada Cup the same year. His involvement with Team Ontario is equally impressive, having held various roles including Head Coach for the U17 Black Girls Team in 2023 and leading the U17 Black Girls Team to a silver medal at the USAV HP Championships in 2019. His club coaching experience includes leading the Smash Raiders as Head Coach for U17/U18 Girls, where he achieved significant success, including a gold medal in the OVA Division 1, Tier 2.
